American punk rockers Green Day have always been one of my favorite bands so I was thrilled to see they’ve been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Hopefully, if enough people vote in their favor they’ll be allowed into the prestigious Hall of Fame in 2015.
People who are allowed to vote for the band, and other nominees being considered this year, include music historians, other musicians, people in the music industry and fans.
Other nominees include Sting, The Smiths, Lou Reed, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Nine Inch Nails, and War.
