I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills just part of HIDIVE’s Fall line-up
HIDIVE continues to expand its excellent library of anime series with the streaming service’s announcement I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills will be premiering on the platform on October 1st as part of its Fall line-up.
Also known as Farming Made Me Stronger (aka Nōmin Kanren no Skill Bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyoku Natta in Japan), I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills is based on the light novel series written by Shobonnu and illustrated by Sogawa.
The anime grabbed my attention a few months ago when the adaptation was announced, as the series is being directed by Norihiko Nagahama — episode director of two of my favorite anime — Laid-Back Camp and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu — and I can’t wait to see what he does with a full anime series.
Touko Machida (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan) is handling series composition, with Masami Sueoka (Chōjikū Robo Meguru) designing the characters.
Takurō Iga (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting) is composing the music, while Studio A-Cat (Battle Game in 5 Seconds) is in charge of anime production.
What is I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills?
HIDIVE/Sentai Filmworks describes the I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills plot like this:
Al Wayne loves farming — and we don’t mean the video game sim. He wants to be a literal farmer, but in the process of improving his agriculture skills, he somehow winds up maxing out his overall character stats! He’s superpowered in the most unexpected of ways with abilities even the strongest of heroes would envy.
Alas, all he wants is an idyllic farmer’s life, but with demons and monsters invading the realm, Al may have to take up the mantle of hero just to keep his dreams from withering away!
Mark your calendars for October 1st, and check out some of HIDIVE’s Fall line-up here with more to be announced in coming weeks.
