Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu opening song is so cute — Listen to ‘Hitori Bocchi no Monologue’

Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu opening song makes me happy

I have to admit, I’ve been a little bit obsessed with Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu this month. A Japanese anime series that released on Crunchyroll a few months ago, and one that features some of the cutest moe girls in anime.

The cutest by far, though, has to be the lead character Hitori Bocchi. A middle-school girl that has such crippling social anxiety, she finds it almost impossible to function around other people.

That is until her only friend, a girl she has known since elementary school but who is now going to another school, tells Hitori Bocchi she must make other friends. And she must make friends with every girl in her new middle-school class.

So Hitori Bocchi sets out to do just that.

But, it’s not just the series itself I’m obsessed with. It’s also the Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu opening song, and the cool opening animation.

The Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu opening song is called ‘Hitori Bocchi no Monologue’ (ひとりぼっちのモノローグ Lonely Monologue)’ and is sung by the anime’s lead characters Hitori Bocchi (Chisaki Morishita), Sunao Nako (Minami Tanaka), (Honshou Aru) (Akari Kitō), and Sotca Luckythar (Yūko Kurose).

I loved that song so much I would dance around my kitchen every time it came on (yeah, I’m a dork. Sue me!)

But, come on, it’s such an addictive song and gives you such a happy feeling when you listen to it. After all, how sweet are lyrics like this:

No need to rush, I have plenty of time
One day, I’ll make my wish to be your friend come true.
Now that sounds lovely.
Not as a monologue but as something to say to someone else!

Hitori Bocchi no Monologue’ was composed by Mamoru Tanoue with lyrics by Sasa Ando. It was arranged by Akito Matsuda.

Listen to ‘Hitori Bocchi no Monologue‘, the Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu opening theme song, in the series’ opening video below to see why I love it so much.

And, if  you haven’t watched it yet, check out the official trailer for the anime series below that.
