You’d think with how hugely successful Hotline Miami was that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number would be just the next game in a long line of retro-style shoot ’em and kill ’em games. But, according to Dennaton Games, who have just released a Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number teaser trailer, this will be the second and last game in the series. Now that’s going to leave some fans upset.
According to Dennaton Games, they’d done a lot of the work for Hotline Miami: 2 in conjunction with the work they did on the first game, which is why we’re going to be seeing the sequel so quickly. But, since then, the developer has moved onto creating other games and doesn’t feel like they want to go backwards.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will have several playable characters, a number of factions to choose from, and there will be much more of an actual plot than the first game had. The game will also have somewhat of a ‘movie theme’, which could be interesting.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will release towards the end of the year and will be available for PC, Mac and Linux.
