How to build a secure Minecraft vault in a few minutes and protect your stuff (video)

Out of the hundreds of video games I’ve played in the last 30 years (yep, 30 years, I’m that old!), Minecraft is the only one I’ve played more than a few months.

Out of all the Minecraft YouTubers I follow, Mumbo Jumbo is one of the few I’ve stuck with the longest. Because, let’s face it, when you’re looking for a video to explain how to build something your Minecraft base absolutely has to have, it’s pretty much certain Mumbo has a damned good one you can watch.

Take a video for how to build a secure Minecraft vault in a few minutes for instance. Mumbo Jumbo has just uploaded one that is absolutely superb.

Because this British Minecraft whiz is able to build two decent secure Minecraft vaults and one superb one in — 10 seconds, then 1 minute and 10 minutes.

Yep, it is apparently possible to build a secure Minecraft vault in 10 seconds. Well…semi-secure, anyway.

For Mumbo’s first secure Minecraft vault, he simply uses iron blocks, an iron door, a button and a sign.

Sure, it’s not the most secure vault considering a click of a button opens the door and the only security is a sign saying “Don’t steal my stuff (please)” but, as long as you don’t have trolls on your server, it might just do at a pinch.

Mumbo’s Minecraft vault that was built in a minute, even though it’s only 50 seconds more time than his first, is actually much much better.

The vault isn’t any bigger as it still only holds one chest, but it is a little more secure. It’s also automatic, making it a cooler vault to store your stuff in if nothing else.

For this one, he uses iron blocks again, plus red stone, red stone torches, a piston, and an item frame combination lock.

But it is his vault built in 10 minutes that is the pièce de résistance.

After all, that one is ultra secure as it comes with a key card system operated with a color code and it stores nine chests full of his stuff. (You could, of course, build a much bigger one with the exact same entry design).

Check out Mumbo Jumbo’s video for all three of his secure Minecraft vaults below.

And, as always, make sure you also search his channel for more videos on how to build in Minecraft everything from an emerald generator to an industrial iron farm to an epic base in survival mode.

It’s no wonder the man has over 1.7 billion, yes billion, views on his videos.
