I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators 2 premiere date confirmed – new poster revealed

The second season of the comedy martial arts donghua I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators (aka Wo Qi Ku Le Baiwan Xiulian Zhe) finally has a release date, and it’s coming up fast.

According to the official Weibo page for Suoyi Technology, the Chinese animation studio that has been animating the fantasy donghua since 2021, that I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators, Season 2 release date is December 15th.

Yep, just under three weeks before the next installment of Jiang Bei’s journey begins, with the running time of each new segment likely to be around the same 10-11 minutes of previous episodes.

Thirty new episodes have been confirmed so far.

Along with the long-awaited Season 2 premiere date, we also got a new poster for the donghua, with the comment:

The new image of Jiang Bei accumulates anger value for you, so the peak of cultivation is not a dream.

Okay, that made me laugh.

Unfortunately, if you haven’t already watched Season 1 of the donghua, it isn’t currently possible to watch the series legally unless you speak Chinese as, while Tencent Video Animation’s YouTube channel offers Episodes 1 through 160 via this playlist, they don’t feature subtitles.

In any language.

Viewers have been begging Tencent to add subtitles for more than two years, to no avail.

Let’s hope they rectify that when Season 2 hits for those of us who were able to watch the first season elsewhere then, eh?

I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators details

As mentioned before, I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators is animated by Suoyi Technology, and produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures.

The donghua’s first season ran from August 19th, 2021 to February 16th, 2023, and was streamed on Tencent in China.

It is based on a webnovel by Ziyuan Zhanggui, with the plot going something like this:

Student Jiang Bei is in the subway station in modern-day China when he sees three young men stealing the wallet of another man. When he chases off the thieves and retrieves the wallets, things don’t go well for him, as the men return and beat him up.

When he wakes up, he has inadvertently accepted an offer to join a video game via his phone. The problem is, the video game has transported him body and soul into the game, where he must now live with his new family while leveling himself up via “anger points”.

Soon, Jiang Bei has gone from an untalented young cultivator everyone looked down on to someone so powerful he is thought of as a genius. All while making everyone angry so he can earn even more points.

Mark your calendars for December 15th, when I Annoyed Millions of Cultivators 2 hits.
