I May Be a Guild Receptionist’s Jade Scrade character video shows why Silver Sword leader wants Alina in his party

Jade Scrade character video and visual released

If it’s a new fantasy anime, I am pretty much ‘in’ every time.

If it’s a fantasy anime with an interesting twist, it will likely become my #1 MUST watch anime of the season.

Such, then, is the upcoming fantasy I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time, which premieres in January, 2025 during the Winter, 2025 season. (Come on!!! That long!!!!)

Because, heck, this sounds like helluva fun with a plot like this, doesn’t it?:

Alina Clover signed up to be a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild thinking it would be her ticket to the good life. Unfortunately, her dream gig turns into an overtime nightmare whenever adventurers get stuck clearing a dungeon.

To save herself from paperwork, Alina takes to beating down monsters herself to solve the problem! Now she just needs to keep her activities a secret…

And, just to make it even more appealing, today we got information about one of the anime’s main characters in a just-released Jade Scrade character video and visual.

Jade, by the way, is the tank and head of the Silver Sword party, the strongest in the guild.

He’s handsome with silver hair and a pretty face, but also kind, sincere and extraordinary powerful. And that means he has earned a huge number of fan girls.

But, when he learns about Alina’s adventuring secret, instead of being interested in her as a woman (well, at least at first!), his main focus moves into getting her to join Silver Sword.

The just-released Jade Scrade character video shows the tank’s immense power, as well as him discovering Aina’s secret and deciding he must have her in his party.

After all, he has been looking for a strong hammer wielder for a while now. (Watch below)

Jade is voiced by the fabulous Kentarou Kumagai (Laios in Delicious in Dungeon).

Check out the new Jade Scrade visual above too. Cute, eh?

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time anime details

The upcoming anime adaptation is based on Mato Kosaka and Gaou’s popular light novel series.

Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English, with three volumes currently out and Volume 4 due on November 4th, 2024.

The publisher describes the very fun-sounding plot like this:

Alina Clover signed up to be a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild thinking it would be her ticket to the good life—stable pay, regular hours, and safe workplace conditions. Unfortunately, her dream gig turns into a nightmare of endless paper work and overtime whenever the adventurers she helps coordinate get stuck clearing a dungeon.

But people aren’t made to grind forever, so Alina sneaks off at night to give the monsters holding things up a beatdown, courtesy of her massive war hammer.

Keeping this all under wraps to avoid violating her office’s ban on second jobs is difficult, especially when the tales of her exploits start to spread, but Alina somehow manages to keep her identity safe…until the leader of the strongest party in the guild catches her defeating a boss one fateful night!

Does Alina have what it takes to stop her life from going topsy-turvy?!

The upcoming anime adaptation is being directed by Tsuyoshi Nagasawa (Clockwork Planet), with Misuzu Chiba (Aikatsu Planet!) in charge of series composition, and Yoshihiro Osada (Shine Post) and Shinichi Machida (To Me, The One Who Loved You) designing the characters.

CloverWorks (Wind Breaker and The Elusive Samurai) is creating the anime, so it should be beautifully animated.

Watch the short but full-of-power Jade Scrade character visual below just to wet your appetite, and mark your calendars for January as, for fantasy lovers, this one could just hit all your feels.
