Insomniacs After School opening animation has what we can expect from Nakami and Magari going forward

With the first episode of the extremely cute school-themed romance anime Insomniacs After School premiering today, Pony Canyon has just released the anime’s creditless opening animation.

The Insomniacs After School opening animation, which wasn’t shown in the first episode, gives fans a fast-forward look at what we can expect in the show going forward, as Nakami and Magari get together after their families have gone to bed and explore the town.

Something they won’t have to do for long apparently, as they are about to be involved in the founding of a new school astronomy club that comes with its own club room.

The just-released Insomniacs After School opening animation also features the anime’s pretty opening theme song ‘Itsu Aetara‘ by aiko.

What is Insomniacs After School?

The Insomniacs After School anime is based on the hit manga written and illustrated by Makoto Ojiro.

The manga currently has 12 volumes out in Japanese.

Its English language version is now being published by Viz Media with its first volume already out, and its second due in June.

Viz Media has this to say about its plot:

Dark rumors about what befell the members of the astronomy club keep people away from the school observatory, and that’s what makes it the perfect sanctuary for Nakami and Magari to get some much-needed rest.

Unfortunately, the school faculty can’t allow its unsanctioned use. But if there were a new astronomy club, maybe these two insomniacs could have a place to call home!

Check out the new Insomniacs After School opening animation below and, if you have not yet watched its first episode on HIDIVE, you really should as this one is delightful so far.
