Note: Very slight spoiler for Ishura, Season 2 – don’t read if you don’t want a hint as to the identity of Kuuro the Cautious.
Following the conclusion of the final episode of the Ishura anime earlier today, the production team promptly announced the green light for a second season.
Accompanying the exciting news of a definite Ishura, Season 2 was the release of a teaser video and teaser visual.
The teaser visual focuses on Kuuro the Cautious, the leprechaun spy readers of the light novel series will already be familiar with.
Kuuro the Cautious is also seen in the Ishura, Season 2 teaser video as he walks in a crowd of people, his scarf covering his mouth and his flat cap pulled down in an attempt to cover his face.
He wears the same outfit in the new Ishura, Season 2 visual, although this time he exposes one of his eyes as if to tell you he’s watching you. (see below)
The remainder of the short new Ishura, Season 2 teaser has Soujirou the Willow-Sword crouching down on the top of a racing stagecoach as danger heads his way.

The Ishura anime series debuted on January 3rd in Japan and ran through today, March 20th, 2024.
It streamed on Disney Plus outside Japan, and Hulu in the U.S.
The battle royale anime was chief directed by Takeo Takahashi (Hinako Notes), with Yuki Ogawa (Mieruko-chan) directing the anime.

Ishura is based on the light novel series written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta, with the English language translation being published by Yen Press, who has this to say about the Ishura plot:
In a world where the Demon King has died, a host of demigods capable of felling him have inherited the world: a master fencer who can figure out how to take out their opponent with a single glance; a lancer so swift they can break the sound barrier; a wyvern rogue who fights with three legendary weapons at once; an all-powerful wizard who can speak thoughts into being; and an angelic assassin who deals instant death.
Eager to attain the title of “One True Hero,” these champions each pursue challenges against formidable foes and spark conflicts themselves. The battle to determine the mightiest of the mighty begins.
There are five volumes of the Ishura light novel series out in English so far, with Yen Press releasing Volume 6 on March 26th.
No word yet on when Season 2 of Ishura will premiere but, hey, at least we know we’re getting one!
