Indie pop alternative rock band King Gnu has released the official music video for their new release ‘Itto‘ and, hell, it’s a banger.
King Gnu’s ‘Itto‘, (aka 一途, ‘The Only Way‘), is the theme song for the upcoming movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and it’s a song that is perfect for the hit anime.
After all, when you think of Jujutsu Kaisen, the first thing that usually comes to mind is an anime featuring fast-paced, high-energy battle scenes involving characters that are wild, crazy and bigger than life themselves.
Just the type of feel King Gnu’s ‘Itto’ gives out — wild, crazy and massively bigger than life, eh?
The ‘Itto‘ music video follows that same theme perfectly.
In it, the indie Japanese band perform the energetic, guitar-laden track under a screen that flashes wildly colorful electronic graphics, all of which are reflected in the mirrored platform the band is standing on.
All adding to the excitement of the performance and the song.
King Gnu’s ‘Itto‘ music video was directed by Taichi Kimura, and I think he did a stellar job.
Like the first season of the anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is directed by Sunghoo Park, animated by MAPPA and set to release on December 24th in Japan.
