Even though the SBS drama Good Partner managed to grab the highest rating of any TV show this week in South Korea, ongoing MBC drama Black Out was also very successful last night earning its highest rating yet.
According to the data from Nielsen Korea, Black Out, Episode 3 garnered 4.6 percent of the nationwide audience on Friday night.
That is a huge increase from the 2.7 percent of the viewership the Korean drama earned for its second episode last weekend.
It is also an extremely solid increase considering Black Out was airing in the same time slot as Good Partner, which is currently seeing huge ratings and was the most-watched TV show of the week in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Black Out, Episode 3 performed almost as well in Seoul where it grabbed 4.4 percent of the viewership.
Unfortunately, Black Out is still difficult to find outside South Korea as it has not yet been licensed by a major streaming platform.
That means most international audiences are still not able to watch it, as can be evidenced on My Drama List where only 260 users are currently rating it versus the thousands of viewers who would normally be watching a new Korean drama.
Black Out stars Byun Yo Han, Ko Jun, Go Bo Gyeol, and Kim Bo Ra.
The Korean drama airs in South Korea on MBC on Friday and Saturday evenings at 21:50 (KST).
