Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary trailer announces main cast and staff

Hahahaha, OMG, I just watched the new Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary trailer (watch below), and I haven’t laughed so hard at a one-minute promo in ages.

Come on, that ittie bittie girl with the husky voice who sounds like Renge in Non Non Biyori, and who is just as cute, is apparently really scary when you get on her wrong side.

But, man, she’s so cute, her suddenly going into killer mode just made me snort.

That, by the way, is the point of the upcoming comedy anime Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary as it follows the little kindergartener who, it turns out, is a bit of a troublemaker.

Although there might be something more to that.

Something her teacher Ms. Chie finds out about after she is assigned to take care of her.

The new Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary trailer then just proved this one is one to look out for, while it also revealed its main cast and staff.  (see below)

That delightfully husky voice Kaya-chan is rocking is provided by voice actress Azusa Tachibana, (Nagase in Princession Orchestra).

Meanwhile, the wonderful Maaya Uchida (Rikka in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!) is voicing Chie-sensei.

As for the comedy anime’s main staff, they are director Hiroshi Ikehata (Dark Gathering), Shigeru Murakoshi (Zombieland Saga) who is providing the series composition and scripts, and Taro Yamada and Hiroyuki Moriguchi (The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World) who are designing the characters.

East Fish Studio (A Condition Called Love) is animating the series.

Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary is based on a manga written and illustrated by Yuritaro.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes that in English, with one volume out and Volume 2 dropping in July.

As for the anime adaptation’s release date, that hasn’t been announced yet. But hopefully it will be soon, as I am dying to see if the series is as funny as its trailer, aren’t you?
