Kengan Ashura S2 trailer shows INSANE fighting skills of gladiators – DOESN’T fix janky CGI

Kengan Ashura Season 2 trailer proves the amateurish CGI is here to stay

The upcoming Kengan Ashura Season 2 just got a new trailer and, in only the 30-plus seconds the fight scenes run, does a good job of showcasing the insane fighting skills of the anime’s top gladiators.

Unfortunately, though, it seems the Kengan Ashura Season 2 trailer also proves that horribly clunky CGI foisted on us by Larx Entertainment in the first season is also back for another go-round.

Ye Gods. My EYES!!!

Larx Entertainment wants to make absolutely sure the artistic beauty of the manga has no place in its anime

Kengan Ashura, of course, is the martial arts, action anime set in a world where, instead of businesses conducting meetings and signing contracts, they win or lose by the performance of the gladiators they hire to fight for them.

It is an anime that was highly anticipated when the first season came out in 2019, until fans realized the gorgeous drawings from Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon’s stunning manga had been turned into animation via CGI Hell.

Fans of the Kengan Ashura manga, who were initially psyched to see their favorite characters in action.

Only to be faced with janky CGI that destroyed any chance they had of enjoying them actually breathing, moving and speaking.

And hoping they could come up with a remedy to gouge that hideous animation out of their heads permanently instead.

(Full disclosure: I dropped Kengan Ashura after Episode 3 as suffering through that amateurish CGI made my eyes bleed).

After four years, if the Kengan Ashura, Season 2 trailer is anything to go by, it seems Larx Entertainment hasn’t learned anything in the time they have been gone.

And now they are back. With even more CGI horror to slap us with.

Check out the Kengan Ashura, Season 2 trailer below.

You might enjoy that low-quality animation, which is nothing more than manga panels moving across the screen in some cuts.

Meanwhile, I will head back to the beautifully-illustrated manga. That way I don’t have to live in a world where The Ashura has been degraded into that.

Kengan Ashura, Season 2 is due to premiere on Netflix on September 21st.

Thanks. I’ll pass.
