Great news for fans of Korean actress Shin Se Kyung (신세경)!
The persistent harasser, who has been troubling both her and her supporters for years, has finally been arrested.
The announcement came this morning from Shin Se Kyung’s agency, The Present Company, who shared with the press that they’ve utilized every legal avenue available to bring the harasser to justice.
They’ve also made it clear that they will stand firm against any future harassment directed at any of their artists, ensuring perpetrators face legal consequences.
Kudos to The Present Company for their proactive stance!
Shin Se Kyung, who has recently captivated audiences with her roles in blockbuster K-dramas like Captivating the King (check out the photo above and video below), Arthdal Chronicles, Run On, and Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, can hopefully breathe a sigh of relief.
After all, cyberbullying is no walk in the park for the person who is the victim of it. Especially when it spans years.
Now, with this ordeal behind her, the 34-year-old star can focus on her upcoming projects, including the much-anticipated film Humint, which is set for a 2025 release.
And a quick reminder for anyone thinking about harassing public figures – just don’t.
It not only makes you look terrible, but also guarantees you a one-way ticket to facing serious legal repercussions.
Let’s keep the entertainment world a place of joy and creativity, not fear and harassment, eh?
You can watch Shin Se Kyung’s performance in the utterly superb Captivating the King on Netflix.
