Lena Headey pregnant with second child
Game of Thrones‘ Lena Headey has announced she’s pregnant with a baby girl. The 41-year-old British actress is due to give birth in just six weeks time.
Headey, who plays Queen Cersei Lannister, wrote a post for Plan International USA called ‘My Daughter‘, in which she said:
I am having a baby girl in six weeks. You have all been so lovely in your messages to me, and I thank you for that.
My daughter will have freedom of choice. She will be free to dance, to sing, to be educated in the fields that spark her passion, to marry if she wants, to marry WHO she wants, to remain single, or to fall in love with another woman. She’ll be able to wear what she wants, put on lipstick, and read books that spark debate and expand her mind.
She will be loved, protected, respected, and celebrated.
Headey went on to ask readers to donate to Plan International so that they can continue the programs they run around the world. Programs that benefit girls in developing countries that do not have the rights or benefits Lena Headey’s baby girl will have growing up.
Headey currently has a four-year-old son with former husband musician Peter Loughran. As of yet, Headey has not said who the father of her second child is.
