LiSA and Aimer to sing Demon Slayer Season 2 opening and ending theme songs — how cool is that?

Well, if the news today doesn’t announce a match made in heaven, and one guaranteed to sell millions of records, I don’t know what will.

That news is that both LiSA and Aimer will be performing the theme songs for Demon Slayer Season 2.

As someone who ranks LiSA and Aimer as two of my favorite Japanese singers EVER, that is phenomenal news, isn’t it?

After all, there are not many female singers in Japan at the moment that are bigger than these two.

Not that the singers will be performing the Demon Slayer Season 2 theme songs together, you understand. They won’t.

Instead, LiSA will sing the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc opening and ending theme songs, while Aimer will perform the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc opening and ending theme songs.

The Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc will premier on October 10th, with the Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc kicking off on December 5th with Episode 8 of the new season.

LiSA will sing ‘Akeboshi‘ (aka ‘Morning Star‘), the Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc opening theme song. She will also sing ‘Shirogane‘ (‘Silver’), the show’s ending theme.

Both songs will officially be released on November 17th.

Meanwhile, Aimer will perform ‘Zankyo Sanka‘ (aka ‘Song of Reverberation’), the Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc opening theme song, as well as the show’s ending theme ‘Asa ga Kuru’ (‘Daybreak’).

Aimer’s Demon Slayer songs won’t see release until January 12th next year.

In other words, if you are like me and already crazy excited about the premiere of Demon Slayer Season 2 on October 10th, you now have two more things (four more things?) to be thrilled about.

Life is good.
