British rock group Bad Company’s ‘Ready for Love‘ was played on the soundtrack of Bridge and Tunnel this weekend — Bridge and Tunnel, Season 2, Episode 6, “The Promise Land“.
The upbeat rock song was released on the band’s self-titled debut studio album, which came out in mid 1974 on the Island label, as well as on the band’s own Swan Song record label.
The Bad Company album saw its biggest success in the United States, where it made it to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album also charted in 5 other countries, and was on the UK Albums chart for 25 weeks.
It has since been put on several critics’ lists as one of the best rock albums.
The album has also been certified 5 x Platinum.
Bad Company themselves got together in 1973 and have been performing on and off, with several breakups, for almost 50 years.
The band still consists of singer and founding member Paul Rodgers, drummer and founding member Simon Kirke, and guitarist Howard Leese and bassist and backing vocalist Todd Ronning.
Listen to Bad Company’s ‘Ready for Love‘ as heard on Bridge and Tunnel this week in the video, and on the band’s self-titled album.
