Listen to Elvis Presley’s ‘Love Me Tender’ from The Flight Attendant, Season 2, Ep. 8 – still so cool

The late Elvis Presley’s ‘Love Me Tender‘ was one of two Elvis tracks that showed up on last night’s season finale of The Flight AttendantThe Flight Attendant, Season 2, Episode 8, “Backwards and Forwards“.

The song was heard at the wedding reception after Max and Ani get married because, yes, they had to have an Elvis Presley impersonator as the entertainment.

Elvis Presley‘s ‘Love Me Tender‘ is one of the legendary singer’s most famous songs.

Released in 1956, the ballad was written for the movie of the same name. The film starred Presley, with the role of youngest brother Clint Reno being his first ever movie role.

The song went on to chart at #1 on five charts in the United States, as well as in the top spot in Canada, and at #6 in Australia and #10 in Austria.

It has since been certified 3 x Platinum in the U.S.

Love Me Tender‘ became such a recognized Presley song, that it has also been played on a myriad of TV shows and movies, including on Super Me, Crossing Jordan, How I Met Your Mother, and Masters of Sex.

That performance was given a month before the Love Me Tender film hit movie theaters, thus stirring up the public’s interest in the film even more.
