The track was played during the montage as Georgia and Max are hanging out together, and as Max then misses a phone call from Lauren.
It is not the first track McMorrow has had featured on New Amsterdam, however, as his gorgeous song ‘Higher Love‘ showed up earlier in the season on Episode 17.
James Vincent McMorrow’s ‘Early in the Morning, I’ll Come Calling‘ is from the Irish musicians’s debut album Early in the Morning. Released in early 2010 to critical acclaim, it eventually charted in the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Norway and the United Kingdom.
The Dublin native currently has four albums out, and three EPs. His last release, True Care, came out in early 2017, although it only charted in Ireland.
Watch James Vincent McMorrow give a lovely and very sweet live performance of ‘Early in the Morning, I’ll Come Calling‘ at the Anson Rooms in Bristol, UK back in 2012 in the video below.
You can hear the album version, and the deluxe version of the album itself, in the Spotify widget below that.
