The new Apple TV+ series Dear Edward is not getting great ratings from either critics or viewers due to its overly-melodramatic take on the story.
That being said, the drama has had quite a few people commenting about its excellent soundtrack. A soundtrack that includes songs like Nathaniel Rateliff’s ‘You Need Me‘, which showed up on Dear Edward, Season 1, Episode 4, “Chrysalis“.
That song showed up on the episode as Lacie is picking up the kids from school.
That mellow guitar-driven folk track is from Rateliff’s third studio album And It’s Still Alright, which came out in February, 2020 on Stax Records.
The album was called a “slow burn” by critics, and was generally well-liked.
It went on to chart in eight countries, including the United States, where it hit #5 on the Top Rock Albums chart and #78 on the Billboard 200.
Listen to Nathaniel Rateliff’s ‘You Need Me‘ as heard on Dear Edward in the video, and on the singer’s And It’s Still Alright album.
