Canadian indie folk band Reuben and the Dark’s gorgeous cover of Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ showed up on the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy this week — Season 15, Episode 25, “Jump Into The Fog” (aired on May 16th, 2019).
The track was heard at the beginning of the episode as we are shown what happens with everyone.
Reuben and the Dark’s ‘What a Wonderful World‘ was released in 2019 on the indie record label Arts & Crafts Productions. It is currently a stand-alone single.
However, the band has released two albums already — the 2014 release Funeral Sky, and Arms of a Dream in 2018 — and several singles.
Reuben and the Dark was founded in 2013 by lead singer Reuben Bullock, who had previously released two albums during a solo career. The band now includes Shea Alain (guitar/keys), Brock Geiger (guitar/keys), Ian Jarvis (bass), and Brendan ‘Dino’ Soares (drums).
