Listen to Roosevelt’s ‘Strangers’ from YOU, Season 4, Ep. 1 – as groovy a track as they come

German indie synth pop, electropop singer songwriter Roosevelt was one of the many interesting contemporary artists whose music was featured on the just released fourth season of YOU on Netflix this week — in his case, Roosevelt’s ‘Strangers‘, which showed up on YOU, Season 4, Episode 1, “Joe Takes a Holiday“.

The what-I-would-call incredibly groovy song was that cool track playing as Joe walks through London then on into his new apartment, and we find out he has taken a sublet from one of the professors at the London university where he is now working.

And a psychological thriller series where the tables are turned on Joe. Finally, eh?

Roosevelt’s ‘Strangers‘ is the fourth single from the German musician’s third studio album Polydans, which he released in early 2021 on the Greco Roman and City Slang labels.

The song went on to become a fan favorite, with its currently almost 20 million plays and counting due to the track’s use on YOU putting it at the top of his Popular tracks list on Spotify currently.

When released, his Polydans album also charted in the Top 40 on album charts in his home country of Germany, and in Switzerland.

Listen to Roosevelt’s ‘Strangers‘ as heard on the new season of YOU in the video, and on his Polydans album.

Roosevelt also performed a live version of ‘Strangers‘ for the Seattle, Washington radio station KEXP early last year, which is a lovely thing. You can check that out below as well, and learn more about the singer via his official website.

Meanwhile, the first five episodes of Season 4 of YOU are now up on Netflix, with the second five due out on March 9th.
