Listen to Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather soundtrack, the jazz-heavy music is gorgeous

Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather soundtrack is a jazz-heavy, piano and drum based delight

As most anime fans probably know, sometimes the soundtracks of films and TV series can be a bit of a bitch to find on Spotify — if they have ever even been released there at all.

After all, so many of the Japanese record companies still don’t seem to have figured out how to upload them to the world’s biggest streaming service so non-Japanese speaking anime fans can easily find them.

Such is the case with the Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather soundtrack, which I couldn’t find at all a few weeks ago, and which suddenly popped up for me today when I finally searched for one of the tracks with its Japanese title.

Because, yep, I keep coming back to this movie, considering it is one of the best edgy anime films to be released.

That soundtrack was composed by the Japanese piano trio band H ZETTRIO and, man, is it gorgeous.

Heavy on jazz, with an emphasis on melancholic piano and pounding drums, the Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather soundtrack is foreboding, a little threatening and highly emotional.

And, if you have watched the film more than once, like I have, the Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather soundtrack will quickly thrust into your head some of its most beautiful and tragic scenes.

Scenes of Yashiro watching his subordinates get beaten to a pulp, Doumeki first being introduced to Yashiro, and Yashiro sleeping while lying on Doumeki’s lap.

It really is one of the best anime soundtracks of recent years.
