The amazing New Zealand singer Lorde is currently featured on the latest cover of Billboard magazine for a cover story called ‘Evolution of a Prodigy‘. She’s also filmed a Billboard Cover Shoot video to go along with it where she talks about her own new music, as well as the songs by other artists she’s listening to right now.

Interestingly, Lorde is into European music at the moment. She says she’s a “really big fan of a guy called Stromae” – a Belgian hip hop and electronic music singer and songwriter who had a massive hit in Europe with his song “Alors on danse” a few years ago.

She saw his show in LA recently and thought “it was the best show I’ve ever seen”.

She also loves Saint Claude‘ by Christine and the Queens, a French group consisting of an incredible singer-songwriter Heloïse Letissier and her backing group of musician drag queens. (They are, by the way, phenomenal. I heard them for the first time a few weeks ago, and they are now officially one of my favorite newly discovered artists this year).

For more with Lorde and what she’s planning for her own music, watch the Billboard Cover Shoot video below, and don’t miss her latest single “Yellow Flicker Beat”, which is sexy and cool.
