With just four episodes left to air, the Korean rom-com Love Next Door, Episode 12 grabbed its highest ever ratings last night.
Those ratings were 7.34 percent nationwide, which is a very solid increase from Episode 11’s 5.98 percent, and put the tvN drama in first place in its time slot across all South Korean cable channels.
Love Next Door performed even better, however, with audiences in Seoul as the Kdrama’s viewership shot up from Episode 11’s 6.51 percent to last night’s 8.27 percent.
Meanwhile, the Korean drama is still performing exceptionally well on Netflix where it is streaming for international viewers.
According to Netflix’s Tudum platform, Love Next Door is now in its 5th week on their Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart — meaning the Korean drama has been on the chart since the first week it premiered, and currently shows no sign of falling off.
Especially as, when the latest Netflix data was released last week, Love Next Door was in the #2 slot on the chart with more than 3.3 million views and 35.6 million hours watched that week.
Love Next Door stars Jung Hae In and Jung So Min.
It airs every Saturday and Sunday on tvN in South Korea, and streams on Netflix internationally.
And yes, even with last night’s audience share increase, my guess is with just four episodes left to air we haven’t seen its highest rating yet.
