While the news media has been going to town over the last few days announcing a ‘Friends‘ reunion, Matthew Perry was on The Graham Norton Show last Friday night where he announced, nope, sorry, there’s no such thing as a ‘Friends’ reunion happening any time soon.
As Perry explained, the other five members of the cast — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow — will be at a taping to honor ‘Friends‘ director James Burrows. Matthew Perry, however, will not be there as he will be rehearsing in London for a play he is currently starring in.
The ‘Friends’ bagpipe scene is the funniest scene — ever
Perry said he will tape a segment introducing the other five, so he will appear in the James Burrows celebration but, as far as being together with the other five actors in the same place at the same time, no, he won’t be.
Fellow ‘Friends‘ cast member David Schwimmer has also agreed there is no such thing as a reunion at the moment, because as he explained, “I mean, in no way is it a Friends reunion when one member is out of the country.”
Nobody is ruling out a ‘Friends‘ reunion at some point, as it’s not as though the cast can’t stand each other. It’s just that they are always all so busy doing their own projects that it is difficult to get them all in the same place during the same period of time.
Maybe some day.
Meanwhile watch Matthew Perry talking about the distinct lack of a ‘Friends‘ reunion in the Graham Norton video below, and do keep watching as he goes on to talk about ‘Friends‘ porn.
