Spotify seem to have paid Meghan and Harry $25 million for one podcast
I will start this by saying, at one point I was a supporter of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Until, of course, they proved themselves to be two people who are not only backstabbers (don’t get me started on the things they have said about the British Royal family) but, it seems, two of the laziest people Spotify has ever handed money to.
I’ll get to that in a moment.
Spotify, of course, is the music streaming platform that a few years ago went all-in on podcasts. Since then, they have become one of the world’s most popular podcast platforms.
To the extent that Spotify paid the world’s current most popular podcaster, Joe Rogan, a reported $100 million to exclusively upload his several-times weekly podcasts to their platform.
Rogan consistently releases extremely high-quality podcasts of interviews with people like Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA technology used in some of the Covid-19 vaccines and the holder of at least five patents connected to them, clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson, fitness coach Ben Patrick, entrepreneur Adam Curry and film director Oliver Stone.
People, and usually experts in their field, from all different walks of life who are interviewed by Rogan in a relaxed, casual setting in conversations that routinely last longer than three hours.
Rogan himself conducts extensive research before he interviews anyone, schedules each interview himself and then works hard to ask the questions his listeners want to hear.
The ‘woke brigade’ try to cancel Joe Rogan for providing information from experts they don’t agree with
But this month, of course, it’s Joe Rogan’s turn to be the victim of the latest ‘woke brigade’ attempt to ‘cancel’ someone who may not agree with the mainstream narrative about Covid-19.
This time simply because Rogan interviewed Dr. Robert Malone, a scientist who himself has been ‘canceled’ by most of the mainstream media due to his opposition to mandated Covid-19 vaccines, among other related issues.
Mainstream media, I might add, who are often highly funded by the likes of Pfizer and Moderna.
So, no, they don’t want opposing views or negative comments to be made about the ‘vaccines’ their high-paying sponsors are manufacturing.
And I put vaccines in quotes, as throughout its history a vaccine has been known as a successful medical aid that prevents someone from contracting an illness while also preventing them from transmitting it to others.
These so-called Covid-19 vaccines do neither.
So, onto the attempted ‘cancellation’ of Joe Rogan.
The rabid liberal mob first turned its attention to Rogan and Spotify a couple of weeks ago, but then gained huge traction in the mainstream news media last week when aging musicians like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell decided to remove their music from Spotify due to Joe Rogan and his supposed ‘Covid misinformation’.
The same two musicians, I might add, who only a few decades ago would have been screaming about censorship to anyone who would listen.
Nowadays, they are screaming for censorship of anyone whose opinions they personally don’t agree with.
Something that made me laugh and laugh when I first hear the ridiculous story.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry jump on the cancel Joe Rogan bandwagon
But I laughed the loudest when yesterday’s reports about ‘cancel Joe Rogan’ threw up Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Two of the most privileged people in the world who also decided they needed to jump in and comment about ‘Covid misinformation on Spotify’.
In a statement released by their charity Archewell, the former royal couple said they had been “expressing concerns to Spotify” about the issue of “Covid-19 misinformation” since the charity’s inception. (Funny how they didn’t go public until Joe Rogan suddenly became international news, eh?)
But, they continued, they would still continue to work with Spotify.
While not targeting Joe Rogan specifically, it was obvious from the statement they believe Rogan should be kicked off Spotify, or certain podcasts should at least be censored and removed, only because the opinions of some of his guests on Covid-19 differ from their own.
In many cases, I might add, guests who are doctors and scientists far more qualified than Meghan and Harry will ever be.
Now, this is already ridiculous enough — that Meghan and Harry believe anyone cares about their opinion on Spotify, the content on its platform, Joe Rogan or anything else that comes out of their overly privileged mouths.
But, it made me laugh even harder when I headed to Spotify to listen to a few of Meghan and Harry’s podcasts to see if I agreed with the information they were providing.
Something that would have been quite easy if….in the more than a year after Spotify paid Meghan and Harry a reported $25 million to exclusively produce podcasts for the platform, the couple had produced more than one podcast.
Yes, in over 14 months, for $25 million, Meghan and Harry have released one 26 minute 14 second podcast on Spotify.
Now, I don’t know how much per minute Meghan and Harry have earned ($25 million divided by 26 minutes and 14 seconds, plus the time they put into producing it), but I would say Spotify got a terrible deal.
Especially when you consider Joe Rogan produces three to five podcasts a week of at least two hours in length per podcast, and often three hours or more.
So would someone please tell these disgustingly privileged, apparently incredibly lazy, badly educated on the U.S. Constitution fools that, in America, the First Amendment protects free speech from government restrictions.
Or anyone else’s restrictions for that matter.
Then pass on this message from me to Meghan and Harry when it comes to Joe Rogan, Spotify and censorship of information the public has a right to access — “Get bent”.
And then head over to Spotify and listen to Joe Rogan. Because there is one huge reason why he is the most popular podcaster of all time.
He actually produces podcasts. Something that cannot be said about Meghan and Harry.
