Meghan Trainor tells Jimmy Fallon how she started her singing career
The always bubbly, cute and happy Meghan Trainor was back on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week where she told Jimmy about how she started her singing career.
It turns out, Trainor was given a job at just 18-years-old to write songs for other singers.
One song, ‘All About That Base‘, was a song she wrote for someone else but that turned out to be a huge hit for her when record producer L.A. Reid heard the demo tape she had cut for another singer and said ‘Whoever is singing it is the artist, clearly. So go get her’.

And that’s how Meghan Trainor’s singing career began.
Trainor then went on to sing a verse from ‘All About That Base‘ while playing Jimmy’s ukelele. And yes, as always, she was awesome.
