Motel California Ep 7 grabs HIGHEST ever rating as it starts 2nd half

The MBC drama Motel California, Episode 7 aired on Friday night in South Korea to its highest rating of its run so far.

According to data via Nielsen Korea, Motel California, Episode 7 grabbed 6.0 percent of the nationwide ratings last night as it started its second half.

That is a huge jump from its previous episode’s all-time low of 3.4 percent.

It is also an exceptionally good performance for the Na In Woo and Lee Se Young-led drama, considering this weekend is still the Lunar New Year holiday, and many people are spending it with their families rather than watching TV.

Motel California, Episode 7 performed even better with audiences in Seoul, where it grabbed 6.1 percent of that region’s audience — up from the very low 3.5 percent viewership of Episode 6.

With five more episodes of the MBC coming-of-age drama still to air then, let’s hope it can keep its much higher numbers throughout.

Meanwhile, SBS drama Love Scout did not air its 9th episode last night as scheduled. Instead, the production company decided to take a one-day break due to the Lunar New Year.

Episode 9 then will air tonight.
