Muse perform ‘Psycho‘ and ‘Mercy‘ live on Jools Holland this week
British alternative rock band Muse are kicking off the promotion of their new album Drones a little early it seems. Drones is the band’s seventh studio album and, although it doesn’t release until June 9th, Muse is already out their singing songs from the album live just as they did on Later…with Jools Holland earlier this week.
On Jools Holland, Muse performed ‘Psycho‘ and ‘Mercy‘, and gave stellar performances of each.
Both are tracks from Drones and while ‘Psycho‘ is a hard-rocking guitar-laden track with music so heavy it covers most of the lyrics, ‘Mercy‘ has the same heavy guitars but is a sweeter more gentle and sadder track that shows off lead singer Matt Bellamy’s falsetto beautifully.
Listen to Muse singing ‘Psycho‘ and ‘Mercy‘ on Later…with Jools Holland below. They really did kill both tracks, although ‘Mercy‘ is my personal favorite.
