While I have to admit I am not a fan of the My Happy Marriage anime (watched Season 1, but won’t be watching Season 2), I did love the anime’s art style throughout its run.
An art style that was not only beautiful to watch during the 12-episode first season, but that was also featured in the numerous visuals that were released before and during its run.
This week, we have another of those pretty My Happy Marriage visuals out.
This time a sweet visual that, again, features Kiyoka and Miyo looking relaxed and comfortable together as they gaze up at the night sky for what the studio is calling a moon-viewing visual.
The visual was released on the anime’s official X account in celebration of ‘Good Couples Day’ in Japan.
The account also pointed out a new short story has been released, along with a “Visual Image Movie” that includes the voices of VAs Reina Ueda as Miyo and Kaito Ishikawa telling it. (watch below)
The latest My Happy Marriage visual is also a nice reminder for those who enjoyed the first season, and more power to you if you did, that the anime will be back in January, 2025 for its second.
My Happy Marriage details
The anime is adapted from the light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka.
It is being directed by Takehiro Kubota, who also directed Season 1, with the first season being a bit of an odd one when it comes to episode directors and writers with no less than six episode directors and four script writers involved.
That’s probably why season 1 seemed so disjointed to me and, unfortunately, that appears to be continuing with Season 2 when it comes to the writers working on its scripts.
Kinema Citrus is also back animating the series.
Until Season 2 hits in a couple of months, enjoy the new visual and check out the My Happy Marriage ‘Visual Image Movie’ below as, even if you don’t understand Japanese, the sweetness between Kiyoka and Miyo still comes through.
