Another beautiful My Happy Marriage key visual has been released today. This time featuring main leads Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo on a sakura covered walk.
Miyo is wearing a beautiful pink, sakura decorated kimono with a pair of traditional geta sandals on her feet as her hair blows lightly in the breeze, while Kiyoka is striding proudly along beside her in his military captain’s uniform.
The latest My Happy Marriage key visual has been released to help make sure we keep the romantic fantasy anime foremost on our minds, as it is not due to premiere until July.
Alongside the visual a new video has also been released featuring voice actors Kaito Ishikawa (who plays Kiyoka Kudo) and Reina Ueda (Miyo Saimori) reading a story written by My Happy Marriage light novel author Akumi Agitogi.
My Happy Marriage (aka Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) is based on a light novel series, which was later adapted into an anime.
Yen Press, who is publishing the English language version of the light novel, has this to say about its plot:
Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother.
When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements.
With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.
Its anime adapation is being directed by Takehiro Kubota (GLOOMY The Naughty Grizzly), with Ami Satou (22/7) in charge of scripts and series composition, and character design by Sachiko Yasuda (Happy Sugar Life).
The My Happy Marriage anime premieres in July.
Enjoy the latest My Happy Marriage key visual above just in time for sakura blooming time in Japan and, even if you don’t speak Japanese, listen to the short story video below as it still sounds sweeter than sweet.
And yes, these two must really enjoy their walks together as their previous visual also had them heading off for a stroll.
