My Little Pony: The Movie trailer released, bronies must be ecstatic

The new trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie has just been released and, from the first second I started to watch it, I just kept thinking “Bronies must be ecstatic”.

Because My Little Pony: The Movie is looking like it’s going to be everything bronies love about the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Hasbro TV series, right down to a similar be kind to everyone and overcome challenges theme, to the same actors voicing the ponies.

It’s just bigger, longer and, once you get used to those new animations, maybe even a little bit better?

According to Wikipedia, the My Little Pony: The Movie plot has Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity leaving Ponyville and striking out across Equestria to save their town.

That’s about all we know about the plot as of now, except that the threat comes in the person of The Storm King (played by Liev Schrieber), a satyr-like villain who is really really bad.

What sounds completely epic about My Little Pony: The Movie, however, is what Hasbro President Stephan Davis said about the movie.

Because he envisages is it as a way for Hasbro to expound on the Equestria story and, instead of just making the movie a longer-than-normal My Little Pony episode, he says it will be a lot bigger than just an extended episode, with the studio doing things in the movie they have not been able to do during a short TV episode. Awesome.
