The upcoming school-themed comedy anime BadGirl has a new trailer (watch down below) and an updated key visual out, as we are rapidly getting closer to its premiere — July, 2025.
The BadGirl trailer gives us more of a look in to self-proclaimed “bad girl” Yuu Yuutani (voiced by Miharu Hanai) as she begins her delinquent life, alongside friend Suzu Suzukaze (VA Misato Matsuoka), and the girl she has a massive crush on and just wants to get closer to — school goddess, Atori Mizutori (VA Niina Hanamiya).
That delinquent life, of course, is all about attracting Atori’s attention as, if she met a real delinquent, Yuu would probably run a mile.
The trailer itself is loud, brash and hilariously funny, and makes BadGirl look like a Summer 2025 anime you will definitely want on your ‘Plan to Watch’ list.

As for the latest BadGirl key visual, just like the trailer it was released on the anime’s official X account, and features all of the anime’s main characters — as well as two more in addition to the previous version of the visual.
Those two new friends are Kiyoraka Sumiki and Mizuka Mizutori, played by Japanese voice actresses Lynn and Kaori Maeda respectively.
BadGirl anime details
The BadGirl anime (aka ばっどがーる) is adapted from the four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Nikumaru.
The manga has four volumes out in Japan currently, but has not as yet been officially published in English. Hopefully, that will chance once the anime premieres.
The original Japanese version of the manga, by the way, describes the BadGirl plot in this manner:
First-year high schooler Yuu admires the strict Disciplinary Committee President, Atori, and—in a desperate bid to get her attention—decides to become a delinquent!
But instead of acting cool and tough, Yuu keeps getting flustered like a small animal by Atori’s charming, effortlessly charismatic antics…!?
A totally-not-bad delinquent girl’s school-life.
The BadGirl adaptation is being directed by Jouji Furuta (Shaman King), with Shouji Yonemura (Futsal Boys!!!!!) in charge of series composition, and Yuuki Morimoto (Miss Monochrome: The Animation) designing the characters.
Studio Bridge (Fairy Tail) is animating the TV series, with King Records producing.

Obsessed with anime and manga. Desperate for time to stop with only me left moving in the world. Then I’d have the time needed to watch the 543 anime DVDs I own, and read the more than 1,000 manga.
