New Hero Classroom promo video introduces Blade and the colorful characters at Rosewood Academy

Official Hero Classroom promo video out

The upcoming Studio Actas anime series Hero Classroom got a new promo video and a TV spot today ahead of its July 9th premiere.

The Hero Classroom promo video introduces us to protagonist Blade, a new transfer student at Rosewood Academy and a boy who, while he may act goofy and light-hearted, is actually a lot more powerful and more important than he first appears.

None of that matters to Blade though, as all he wants to do is be “normal”.

Along with Blade, the new Hero Classroom promo video also gives us a glimpse into the colorful characters at Rosewood Academy.

People like Arnest Flaming, the top student at the school and someone who hates Blade on sight, Cu Chulainn who seems to be more than just a little enamoured of Blade, and various other Rosewood Academy students and foes.

What is the Hero Classroom anime about?

The Hero Classroom anime (aka Eiyuu Kyoushitsu in Japan) is based on the hit school life fantasy light novel series written by Shin Araki and illustrated by Haruyuki Morisawa.

The series currently has 13 volumes out, as well as a manga spin-off of 16 volumes as of now.

The Hero Classroom anime is being directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Spy Classroom), with series composition by Naoki Hayashi (Yuri is My Job!), and character design from Kosuke Kawamura (Remake Our Life!).

My Anime List has this to say about the anime’s plot:

Long ago, a powerful demon lord ruled over the people until an equally powerful hero rose up to defeat him. To counter future threats, Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes-in-training, was created. Today, Rosewood Academy enrolls only the best of the best, and Arnest Flaming is the best of them all.

The top student in the school, a dutiful girl nicknamed “Empress of Flame,” she has an irritating encounter with a light-hearted boy in the school hallway one day who seems to equal her powers, though she’s never seen him before.

He introduces himself only as Blade, and Arnest soon finds out not only is he transferring into the school as a new student, but she is personally requested by the King to help him settle in to daily life in Rosewood Academy.

Watch the official Hero Classroom promo video and the TV trailer below, and get a gander at the action fantasy’s main characters and their foes.

If you are looking for a fantasy anime with funny characters, this one is a good contender. If so, July 9th is your day to be happy.

About Steve Reynolds

Obsessed with anime and manga. Desperate for time to stop with just me left moving in the world. Then I'd have the time needed to watch the 543 anime DVDs I own, and read the more than 1,000 manga. Help!
