A new I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level Season 2 trailer is out, along with the announcement of an additional cast member for the upcoming fantasy anime series.
That cast member is Yui Ogura (Shiroko in Blue Archive: The Animation) who will be voicing Sandra, a mandrake plant that also has a human form.
Sandra is pictured on the latest key visual for the anime, walking besides protagonist Azusa, as well as in the newly released trailer.
That I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level Season 2 trailer doesn’t feature the voices of any of the anime’s VAs, as it is still early in the production process, but it does give us a good look at the plethora of cute girls appearing in it. (watch below)
Like the first season of the hit comedy fantasy anime, I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level Season 2 is based on the light novels written by Kisetsu Morita, and illustrated by Benio.
Those novels have sold more than 3 million copies worldwide since the first volume was published in 2017.
There are now 24 volumes in Japanese, with the English translations being published by Yen Press who has 14 volumes already out and Volume 15 due to hit shelves in November.
Yen Press explains the plot in this way:
After living a painful life as an office worker, Azusa ended her short life by dying from overworking.
So when she found herself reincarnated as an undying, unaging witch in a new world, she vows to spend her days stress free and as pleasantly as possible. She ekes out a living by hunting down the easiest targets – the slimes!
But after centuries of doing this simple job, she’s ended up with insane powers…how will she maintain her low key life now?!
Kunihisa Sugishima (Battle Spirits) is taking over directing the anime adaptation for Season 2, with Naohiro Fukushima (My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World) in charge of scripts and series composition, and Hikaru Kodama (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss) providing the character designs.
New studio Teddy is taking over anime production from Revoroot, with a currently scheduled April, 2025 premiere date.
