New My Dress-Up Darling 2 visual shows playfulness of Marin and thoughtfulness of Gojo
There is a new visual out for the upcoming My Dress-Up Darling, Season 2 featuring Marin looking as cute and playful as ever, while Gojo looks on thoughtfully.
The visual was released yesterday via the My Dress-Up Darling‘s official X account, along with the premiere date of its second season — Saturday, July 5th.
Right after the visual dropped, we also got a new promotional commercial via the same account showing Marin obsessed with being a Playboy bunny while also doing her best to tease Gojo relentlessly.
The commercial features a snippet of the new ED “Ao to Kirameki ( アオとキラメキ )”, which is performed by Spira Spica.
Yep, over three years since the first season of the hit anime ended, we are finally getting Season 2 of the superb otaku-themed anime, and nobody could be more excited than me.
With a month to go before it airs, you can also expect more promo pieces to drop as the production team ramps up excitement even more.
Like the first season, Crunchyroll will also be streaming the second so, if you are as big of a fan of My Dress-Up Darling as I am, and don’t have a subscription to the anime streaming service, you may want to grab one soon.
My Dress-Up Darling, Season 2 production details
If you are familiar with the production details for Season 1 of My Dress-Up Darling, you won’t be surprised by those for Season 2.
That’s because Keisuke Shinohara is back directing, along with Yoriko Tomita in charge of series composition, and Kazumasa Ishida both designing the characters and serving as chief animation director.
CloverWorks is also animating again.
And, if you liked the soundtrack for the anime’s first season, Takeshi Nakatsuka is also back composing the OST.
As for the voice cast, all of the main cast is back reprising their characters, including Shouya Ishige as Gojo and Hina Suguta as Marin.
Mark your calendars for July 5th.
And doesn’t it seem like we are all going to be hella busy that month?
After all, it’s not just Season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling that drops.
We are also getting Detectives These Days are Crazy, Season 2 of Kaiju No. 8, Season 2 of Dandandan, Season 2 of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus (same day, July 5th), The Summer Hikaru Died (also on July 5th), Season 2 of Call of the Night, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 Part 2, and Introduction to Mineralogy to name just a few.
I think I need to let friends and family know they won’t be seeing me until August. How about you?
