With just over two weeks to go before the long-awaited The Fiery Priest 2 kicks off, SBS has just released some cool posters for some of the K-drama’s supporting cast — Sung Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, and BIBI.
These follow on from the posters for the main cast — Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee and Kim Sung Kyun — and showcase three superb actors who will be playing some pretty intriguing characters.
The Fiery Priest 2 supporting cast posters do a great job of illustrating their characters
The first poster is for Sung Joon (Call It Love), who is playing drug cartel Kim Hong Sik in a role that is a huge departure from what he has played in the past. (This performance is one of the ones I am looking forward to the most, how about you, eh?!!!)
In the poster, Sung Joon sits in a pose that proves to the world he doesn’t give a damn what you think about him, as he knows how to run his own life.
In reality, however, Kim Song Sik was sold to an organization in Laos, and came back to Korea to join the drug cartel’s commander and eventually become deputy leader. He is now responsible for setting up a new subsidiary in Busan and, of course, is the main person who will clash with fiery priest himself Kim Hae Il (played by Kim Nam Gil).
His tagline comments, “One mistake, one life”.
The second poster is for Seo Hyun Woo‘s character corrupt prosecutor Nam Du Heon.
Nam Du Heon dresses like the ambitious prosecutor he is, complete with a briefcase that he shoves threateningly at the viewers, while his tagline comments “Perfect judicial process? It’s been a thousand years since the world was fucked”.
Nope, Nam Du Heon has no interest in properly upholding the law. Just using it for his own personal gain.
That’s why you shouldn’t be surprised that he is also colluding with the drug cartel.
Finally, we have BIBI‘s poster for her character Koo Ja Yeong.
Ja Yeong, as Kim Hae Il new assistant, is nonchalantly holding a handgun while looking brazenly into the camera, with the tagline “One more word, and you’re dead”.
In other words, if you’re a criminal and you think you can pray on her mercy just because she’s a woman, think again.
Now don’t you get the feeling the young Busan Police Agency’s Drug Investigation Unit member could be just as much trouble (and as funny!) as our already favorite trio of lunatics?
The Fiery Priest 2 is scheduled to premiere on SBS on November 8th, 2024, and run for 12 episodes.

Anyone else think the K-drama will be one of the biggest hits of 2024? And, no, I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t grab just as many awards as its first season.
You can watch that now on KOCOWA.
