New Unnamed Memory key visual has Tinasha and Oscar battle unseen enemies with Akashia raised in retaliation

Latest Unnamed Memory visual showcases Tinasha and Oscar working together to defeat evil

A new Unnamed Memory key visual has been released for the upcoming fantasy adventure anime series, which is due to premiere on April 9th.

The latest Unnamed Memory key visual features Tinasha, the Witch of the Azure Moon, in the foreground of the illustration alongside Oscar, Crown Prince of the kingdom of Farsas, and the man who wants to make Tinasha his wife.

In Oscar’s hands, we can see the legendary sword Akashia, which he is holding raised above his shoulder as if to bring it crashing down on the person threatening him and Tinasha.

The pair are obviously working together to defeat the evil threatening them.

In the background, we can also see the images of the other four witches on the continent.

The Unnamed Memory anime is based on a light novel series

The fantasy anime series is based on the Unnamed Memory light novels, which are written by Kuji Furumiya and illustrated by Chibi.

There are six volumes of the series out in Japanese, with Yen Press publishing all six in an English translation.

A manga adaptation of the novels began in September, 2020, with six volumes now out in Japanese, and with Yen Press publishing the English versions.

There are currently four volumes of those out, with Volume 5 due to release in June, 2024.

What is the Unnamed Memory plot?

Yen Press describes the books’ plot like this:

Once upon a time in a faraway land, a beautiful witch lived atop a tall tower with no intention of descending. Instead, she awaited the brave knight who would overcome many perils to meet her. Should someone triumph over her many traps, she would grant them any one wish.

One day, such a courageous prince did arrive, and he asked her to rid him of the curse preventing him from siring an heir. But the curse of another witch cannot be so easily lifted, and the only way to save his bloodline… is to become his bride?!
