Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds perform ‘Rings of Saturn‘ on Stephen Colbert — raw and sad
Legendary Australian alternative rock band Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds performed their latest single ‘Rings of Saturn‘ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. The track is from the band’s sixteenth studio album Skeleton Tree.
An album that has caused some critics to call it a ‘masterpiece’, and one that was reworked mid-recording to include lyrics about the tragic death of Cave’s 15-year-old son, Arthur, who died after a fall from a cliff in the U.K.
And ‘Rings of Saturn‘ is a typical track from the hit album, with its stark vocals and haunting lyrics. Raw, heart-wrenching and devastatingly sad.
