One of the best songs from the late 1990s was No Doubt’s ‘Don’t Speak‘. A song lead singer Gwen Stefani wrote about a breakup, Don’t Speak hit the number 1 spot in five countries (although not America), and up until today is still the number two song to spend the most time on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Airplay behind the Goo Goo Doll’s ‘Iris’. Today, it’s my Repeat Rotation Video.
No Doubt have been together since 1986, which is pretty astonishing when you think about it – almost 30 years – and have released a slew of singles and albums. To me, though, Don’t Speak is still the best song they’ve ever released, and Gwen Stefani rocks it.
Listen to it below – loud, headphones, eyes closed.
