A promotional video for the rugby-themed anime number24 was released this weekend on the series’ official website.
The PV promotes some of the cute boys that will be the focus of the upcoming 12-episode number24, along with the opening theme song — ‘Set’.
Some of the number24 voice actors starring in the anime are Kengo Kawanishi, Junichi Yanagita, Ryota Suzuki, Shohei Komatsu, Hinata Tadokoro, Anyumu Murase, Shinnosuke Tachibana and Makoto Furukawa.
The story follows Natsusa Yuzuki, a rugby star in high school, who finds out he will not be able to play rugby when he enrolls in his new university.
Eventually, along with friends and other students he meets along the way, he is able to compete in the university’s rugby league.
number24 is being directed by Shigeru Kimiya (Suzuka, Gift — eternal Rainbow), Rika Nakase (Kanamemo, Bucket de Gohan) is responsible for series composition, YukiKana has been responsible for original character design, and Saori Sakaguchi (key animator in Psycho-Pass) is providing character design.
Production is being done by PRA.
The first episode of the number24 anime will premiere on Tokyo MX in Japan on January 8th, 2020 at 10:30 pm. It will also air on other Japanese channels later on in the evening.
