The announcement was made via the official Weibo account of the donghua’s studio CG Year earlier today, along with a visual congratulating everyone involved with One Way or Another (aka Dadao Chaotian or大道朝天) on the high views, and commenting:

Thanks to everyone for your support ~ After Jing Jiu and La Yue leave the Qing Shan Sect, they will bring even more thrilling stories to everyone!

One Way or Another details

The historical martial arts donghua premiered on October 10th with three back-to-back episodes, followed by new episodes coming out every Thursday after that.

The series is currently scheduled to release 16 episodes in its first season, with 12 of those already available for VIP subscribers on Bilibili’s Chinese Donghua Animation’s YouTube channel, and with the first 10 now available to watch for free for non-VIP members.

Meanwhile, international donghua fans on social media have been commenting how much they like both the art style and the series’ excellent animation.

Several have also specifically pointed out how nicely the character models have been designed and how smoothly they move, especially the children. Something that, as many of us now, is not always the case in Chinese 3D-animated donghua.

If you haven’t yet checked out the ongoing animated series, you should. It’s excellent. You can watch its latest video clip release below to get an idea of what to expect.

For those already watching it, One Way or Another‘s next episode is due to premiere on Thursday, December 19th.

And yes, congratulations to One Way or Another for its 50 millions views, and to everyone involved in creating it. That achievement is well-deserved.
