Park Hee Soon starring with Park Min Young in ‘The Confidence Man KR’ – Here’s what we know so far

South Korean mega-star Park Min Young is likely starring with another equally superb actor in the upcoming action comedy crime drama The Confidence Man KR (working title) if the reporting by Korean news media is correct.

That actor is Park Hee Soon, who recently starred in the hit Netflix series The Bequeathed, and who will likely be starring with Park Min Young in the upcoming Korean drama.

According to Korean entertainment news media, Park Ming Young and Park Hee Soon will star in The Confidence Man KR (aka 컨피던스 맨 KRin Korean), a drama about a group of credit scammers.

The drama is a remake of the hit 2018 Japanese drama of the same name starring Nagasawa Masami, Higashide Masahiro and Kohinata Fumiyo.

The Korean remake is being directed by Nam Ki Hoon (Destined with You) and written by Hong Seung Hyun (Criminal Minds).

Korean media is reporting Park Hee Soon will play a kindly middle-aged man who, in reality, is one of the biggest and most-experienced fraudsters.

Should Park Hee Soon star in the drama, it will be the 54-year-old actor’s second drama of 2024, having already starred in The Bequeathed.

Of course, the Korean actor is also known for main roles in Korean dramas Trolley, A Model Family, Dr. Brain, My Name, and Beautiful World, just to name a few.

As for Park Min Young, she recently starred in the massively hit drama Marry My Husband on tvN, as well as in Love and Contract, Forecasting Love and Weather, and 2019’s Her Private Life.

Should she star with Park Hee Soon in The Confidence Man KR, it would be a nice pairing indeed.

Frankly Speaking‘s Joo Jong Hyuk has also been named as a possible star in the upcoming drama.

We will keep you updated here at Leo Sigh as more information about the upcoming K-drama is released.
