The ratings for Parole Examiner Lee, Episode 3 fell last night after the Korean drama rose to its highest rating with Episode 2 last week.
The nationwide rating for Parole Examiner Lee, Episode 3 on Monday night was 4.68 percent — still a very solid rating, but down from Episode 2’s audience share of 5.35 percent.
The same drop occurred from audiences in Seoul, with the K-drama earning its lowest rating in that region yet — 4.40 percent, which is down from its previous episode’s 5.31 rating — its highest yet.
That being said, as Parole Examiner Lee‘s Tuesday episode performed quite a bit better than its Monday episode last week, there is a very good chance we will see the drama shoot right back up again when Episode 4 airs later on tonight.
Especially as, acting and writing-wise, the crime drama is a real gem.
International ratings
While the Korean crime drama is not one of the most watched shows on Viki, it is being rated a 9.5 out of 10 by the 83 people who have rated it so far.
Comments too are largely positive, ranging from one viewer pointing out it’s never a good idea to listen to other people’s “reviews”:
So glad I didn’t pay attention to the negative reviews that said Ep. 1 was boring! I found the exact opposite! It was exciting, fast moving, funny, cute and innovative with good actors. It really kept my attention and had a little twist at the end of Ep. 1 to make me want to see more. The cutest scenes were of “Leo”.

Enjoying it thoroughly! Dark humor from Go Soo (who plays main role Lee) is very good, and the Chairman ( played by senior actor Song Young Chang) is great as usual. It’s crime/mystery with humor.
And yes, I can concur, if you enjoy dark humor this one could definitely be for you.
The next episode of Parole Examiner Lee, which stars Go Soo, Kwon Yu Ri, Baek Ji Won, and Lee Hak Joo will air tonight on tvN in South Korea, with Viki streaming it internationally.
If you have not yet begun watching the crime drama, you should give it a try, as most of the reviewers leaving negative comments about the well-written, well-acted and well-directed K-drama can only comment “it’s boring”, which it is absolutely and definitively not.
