Well, I did say yesterday there was a very good chance the next episode of Parole Examiner Lee would rise rise back up the ratings, didn’t I?

And yep, that prediction came true last night, with Parole Examiner Lee, Episode 4 not only seeing a ratings increase, but grabbing its highest ratings yet — in both regions reported in South Korea.

Its nationwide rating via Nielsen Korea was 6.25 percent, which is a big increase from the Korean drama’s previous episode’s 4.68 percent audience share on Monday night. And almost a 1.0 percent rise over its previous highest rating (5.35 percent for Episode 2).

The Korean mystery crime drama performed almost as well with audiences in Seoul, where it snagged 5.89 percent — up from Episode 3’s rating of 4.40 percent (it’s lowest earned yet).

International viewers still loving Parole Examiner Lee

As for international opinions, Parole Examiner Lee is also being rated incredibly high by viewers over on Viki, where it is streaming, as it is currently earning a 9.4 out of 10.

Yep, I am thrilled to see this superbly-written, well-acted and quite funny (in a dry, black humor sort of way) mystery crime drama continue to not only solidify its ratings but to increase them.

Congratulations to the main cast of Go Soo, Kwon Yu Ri, Baek Ji Won, and Lee Hak Joo, and to all the supporting actors, to director Yoon Sang Ho (Curtain Call) and to writer Park Chi Hyung.

This team has really put together one of the gems of this K-drama season.

You can watch it on Viki.
