Pippa Middleton Cycling Across America for Charity: 3,000 Miles from California to Maryland
Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, is getting ready to start off on a pretty strenuous bike ride. That’s because she’s going to be cycling across America for charity, doing 3,000 miles from California to Maryland
Pippa Middleton’s bike ride is for the Race Across America (RAAM) and will start on Saturday June 14th in Oceanside, California and finish up in Annapolis, Maryland.
She’ll be doing the ride in an eight-person team that will include her brother, James, and a family friend, James Matthews. Matthews is the brother of 22-year-old Michael Matthews who tragically died in 1999 after summiting Mount Everest. The team will be riding to raise money for the foundation bearing Michael Matthews’ name.
Pippa Middleton, of course, isn’t just any slouch when it comes to sporting activities either. Always sports inclined, as a teenager she attended Marlborough College on a sports scholarship. She’s also an avid runner and tennis player and recently has been taking hydra spinning classes – that’s cycling underwater to you and me – as well as participating in a British Military Fitness program..
Sounds to me like she’s more than ready for her 3,000 mile cycling trip.
