For only a reasonably sized northern English city, Manchester has done itself proud when it comes to the caliber of singers it managed to get for Manchester Pride, the city’s largest gay celebration event. Starting the Manchester Pride Big Weekend off last night was American singer Anastasia.
On Sunday the city will get the chance to see Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst perform. And today’s big star is Pixie Lott.
Lott is joining an awesome line-up for the second day of the Big Weekend. The acts include Rowetta, The Pussycat Dolls’ Kimberly Wyatt, Booty Luv, and Big Brovaz on the main stage, with other acts at smaller events around the city.
Pixie is expected to sing hits like Boys and Girls and All About Tonight once she’s up on stage,as well as her new single Lay Me Down, which are all sure to get the crowd screaming.
Pixie’s last performance was at V Festival last weekend, where she rocked the crowd and, according to the lovely Pixie herself, had a fabulous time. Then again, she has been attending V Festival since she was 15 years old, although not until recently as a performing act herself.
If you’re heading to see Pixie Lott at Manchester Pride today, she’s due to go on stage at 9:45pm. Do check the events calendar when you get there, though, as time can and do change.
