Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal movie releasing September, 2020 in Japan — Yay!

Huge news for Sailor Moon fans today as the official website for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie has just announced the first part of the two-part film will be releasing in Japan on 11th September, 2020.

No word yet on the second part of the film, but that we have less than a year to wait for the first part is definitely welcome news.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal is the first movie to be released from the popular franchise in a quarter of a century.

It will be the fourth Sailor Moon movie released.

The new film covers the Dead Moon arc of Naoko Takeuchi’s original Sailor Moon manga.

The screenplay for the film is being written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Chiaki Kon (director of third season of Sailor Moon Crystal and Higurashi When They Cry) is directing.

The animation will be carried out by both Toei Animation and Studio Deen.

Watch the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie teaser trailer below if you haven’t seen it already. It certainly doesn’t tell us much, but it will fuel your passion just a little bit more.

And then start planning your September, 2020 trip to Japan. You might want to brush up on your Japanese as well.
