Pump Up the Healthy Love EP4 gets small ratings rise as international viewers split on opinions

The fourth episode of the KBS2 rom-com Pump Up the Healthy Love aired on Thursday night to a small ratings rise. Thus, almost hitting the same rating it earned for its first two episodes.

That nationwide rating for Pump Up the Healthy Love was 1.7 percent — up from Episode 3’s viewership of 1.5 percent the night before.

Nope. Not a substantial audience share increase yet but, with eight episodes still left to air, heading in the right direction at least.

International audiences’ reaction to Pump Up the Healthy Love

Depending on the platform you look at, international audiences’ reaction to the Korean rom-com are decidedly different.

Over on My Drama List, for instance, the K-drama is only earning a 7.8 out of 10 stars rating, averaged out from just over 700 viewers who rated it.

With only almost 8,800 people who say they are watching it on that site, it is also one of the lesser-viewed Korean dramas airing at the moment.

The ones who do seem to be enjoying it immensely, however, are talking about Lee Jun Young’s superb comedic timing, and how Jung Eun Ji’s character is so “relatable”.

Both opinions that definitely hit the mark.

On Viki, however, opinions are even more positive about Pump Up the Healthy Love, as it is being rated a high 9.1 out of 10 on that platform.

Again, though, only by close to 1,000 people, so it is not one of the most-popular shows on Viki either.

The next episode of Pump Up the Healthy Love hits on Wednesday, May 14th. We’ll be back to give you a ratings update then.

Until then, you can watch the first four episodes via Viki.

The Korean drama is directed by Park Jun Soo and Choi Yeon Soo and stars Lee Jun Young (Weak Hero: Class 2) and Jung Eun Ji (Miss Night and Day).
